The Challenges

setting deadlines


This is the part of the website where I challenge myself with deadlines, particular scenes and general writing issues. I’m going to display them here and make them known so that I can’t easily back out of it. Now that you know of them, you can see which challenge I fulfill and which I don’t. And hopefully kick my ass for not writing whatever I should be writing. There is also a challenge that has nothing to do with writing: instead it focuses on getting more ideas. When I read a book, I get inspired to write myself. So, a book challenge for 2007 will also be posted here.


Book Challenge 2007
General Aim: Read 1 book per week.
Overal Aim: Read 52 books in 2007.


Writing Challenges:

01. Finish writing Becoming chapter eight at the end of week 6 on February 11th.
02. Finish writing Niet De Eerste Keer at the end of week 6 on February 11th.
03. Add 2000 words to chapter 1 of The Ultimate Darkness on Monday February 12th.
04. Add 2000 words to chapter 1 of Where Life Takes You on Tuesday February 13th.
05. Add 2000 words to chapter 6 of Full Circle on Wednesday February 14th.
06. Add 2000 words to the prologue of Prey on Friday February 15th.
07. Add 2000 words to chapter 9 of Becoming on Saturday February 17th.
08. Add 2000 words to chapter 1 of The Ultimate Darkness on Sunday February 18th.
09. Finish writing De Harde Feiten at the end of week 7 on February 18th.
