See, I knew this was a good idea.
Today, I added Niet De Eerste Keer to the Dutch section. The very first Dutch piece of fiction I've written in years. I finished it today and I put it online. Even though the grammar and sentence structuring can be better (I'm too used to writing in English), I think it's pretty okay.
So all you Dutch people visiting (hi, self!), check it out!

Welcome, visitor, to heart-felt.net! I know it says exactly that in the left sidebar, but humor me. This is going to be one grand attempt for me to write more in 2007 than I did in 2006. Considering that I only wrote 30.0000 words in November for NaNoWriMo and not much else, 2006 wasn't a good year for me where writing was concerned. This year I'm going to focus on a couple of stories that have been running through my mind for months or even years. To stimulate myself even further, I've decided to keep a daily blog which you can find here. I will push myself to write every day, even if it's only for an hour. Perhaps, if I start writing again like I used to, I can actually finish a story that I've been itching to write for ages.
So why didn't I write that story earlier when I've had the idea for it for so long? It's simple: Writer's Block. I had the ideas, sure, but when I actually tried to create sentences, nothing made sense to me. It was a matter for me of how to word things that just escaped me. Hopefully all the exercises I've set up for myself and the books on writing that I've bought will help me on my way.
I do hope to be published one day. That's what I'll be working toward from now on. Which is also the reason why I've started writing in Dutch again.
